The following example shows how the boot blocks were hacked with FileEdit+. Your Hex Editor's screen may look slightly different but the procedures are the same.
1. First Modification
Click on the “F” of “Finder” in the ASCII section of tag 000010 - Type “The App” or whatever your application's name is.
[NOTE: Spaces count and hex code is case sensitive.]
Click on offset 26 in the hex section, type 07. 07 is the hex value for the number of characters in “The App” which is seven including the space. (See hex chart in the next to last section to find the hex value for your application.)
